What Broncos Fans Want For Christmas.

A couple of weeks ago, the Broncos gave the fans what they wanted, the firing of coach McDaniels. Now they want Tim Tebow. Why not give the fans what they want?
Thanks for reading.

Broncos Coach McDaniels Booted!

The people asked for his firing, and that is just what they did.
Who is the coach now, or in the future? Aren't the Broncos still paying for Shananhan?
Who knows what the future will hold. What are your thoughts?
Thanks for reading.

Talk about sign overload, yikes. Is there even any room for pedestrians?
I even missed some no parking signs, I did not have room.

Get Coach Pelini a Pacifier!

OK, if you know me, you know sports are not my thing, but TOP at work gave me this subject matter, so I ran with it. I watched some video of this Pelini guy, wow how unprofessional. So I made fun of him. Plus it's the last time CU & Nebraska will ever play. I had to bring some attention to that. Thanks for reading.

Major Store Closes After Only 4 Months!

OK this is ridiculous! I am not going to say any names, but we all know what company this is. I will just say this... They are not a very Smart Company. I am sure they used Colorado as a huge tax right off. Four months is not a long enough commitment for any store, let alone five stores. I really feel bad for all the families in Colorado involved with this NotSoSmartCompany, Just after you are getting your lives settled down with a new job, it goes away, just to be used as a tax break. Not cool.
What are your thoughts?

Union Reservoir-Ist that in Firestone or Longmont?

This cartoon is about renaming Union Reservoir, I guess it has been called that since 1906 or so. (I just heard that, I don't know for sure) Any way, I posted two versions, the one that published, and my original. Note the change of the hand gesture of the guy in yellow. To me, the two fingers up in the air means "rock on" but to others it means the devil or showing horns. If that is the case, I am sure that nobody attending Heaven Fest would do that. Anyway I had to change it.
What does it mean to you? Let me know. Thanks for reading.

Political Ads - Don't Get Any On Ya!

OK, so I got a little gross. But so have all the political ads. Mayor Hickenlooper's ads are the only ones I can think of that are clean, and even a bit funny. Thanks for reading.

Does Boulder County Have Their Lines Crossed?

I was presented with this topic. How could/can Boulder County approve Marijuana farming and at the same time, deny church expansion? A interesting challenge to cartoon to be sure. What do you think? Does it do the topic justice?
Thanks for reading.

More Conductor Hell

The latest in a series for the Longs Peak Dixie Land Band. I did a couple of others, one with banjos and one with saxophones. But this hell needed to be much worse than the others. So I added real flames instead of the drawn ones. Thanks for reading.

The Great Pumpkin is in Longmont

My apologies to Charles Schultz, but the Great Pumpkin is ripe for making fun of. So... How did Pete Mohr do this? I hope we don't find out it's a "Little Shop of Horrors" thing. I want to know how he moved it? Thanks for reading.

No Fire Insurance - No Fire Fighter!

This is not a jab at firemen or the fire department. They do a great job. This is for the private fire fighters hired by insurance companies. (Extra special coverage, as long as you have paid for it.) Why would they help, if you were not a policy holder. Some how it does not seem right to me.
Thanks for reading.

Cartoons for the Longs Peak Dixieland Gospel Band

Here are some cartoons I did for the Longs Peak Dixieland Gospel Band. They will be used in a sideshow presentation. The Banjos & saxophones in Hell are a re-make of a Gary Larson Far Side Cartoon. With my own vision and style of course.

Be Carefull Out There!

This problem was presented to my by the editor. I enjoy coming up with a gag on a specific issue like this. Students, use a crosswalk, don't disrupt traffic, some drivers aren't as focused as others. Drivers, look out for kids, they are everywhere. Thanks for reading.

Here is the toon that ran. Same gag, no police brutality. Still funny to me. What do you think? Thanks for reading.

Too Much Police Brutality

OK, so this cartoon never published. With all the police brutality in Denver, the powers that be thought this cartoon was just to much. I am working on the same joke with out the cop kneeling on the guys neck. I think the joke is solid. This bottle bomb is serious stuff, but I do think it is a bunch of bored teenagers. I am surprised we haven't heard of any kids loosing fingers or hands to these bombs yet. Is it just a matter of time? Let me know what you think of the police brutality. Did I go over the top here?
Thanks for reading.

Jobs Are Still Needed

OK, so this cartoon isn't really funny, just sad. I was thinking back to school, back to work, but not everybody can do that. All I can say is hang in there and keep looking for work. Thanks for reading.

Could Anybody Understand What They Are Saying?

Last week I went to the Demolition Derby at the Boulder County Fair. For the past 3-4 years, it has become something I really look forward to. Cool older cars crashing, what's not to love? This year, as I am trying to figure out what's going on, a lady behind me asked me questions about the rules and such, or why 3 cars got into the arena, then drove out. We both struggled to understand the announcer, but could not. After that, I started paying close attention to what he was saying. I came away with...who knows? It might be time for an new system or even a tune up. Thanks for reading.

Citizens Against Runway Expansion

If the noise of the airport bothers you so much, move. I am sure there are a handful of people who built their farms before the airport was there, I can see why they might be upset, but even they need to move on and get over it. It's been a long enough time all ready. Longmont needs an airport, the bigger the better. It's only good for the community. I know people who move close to airports just so they can see and hear them. They love planes that much. It's kind of like living next to a lake and complaining about the mosquitos. What did you expect? The people or companies we really need to be angry at are the makers of the "loud" airplanes. If enough people complained to them 50 years ago, just think how much more quiet the plans of today would be. I totally can for see quite planes in the future. That's were the attention need to be. Not the airport.

Do Mexican Dogs Understand English?

The idea for this was fleshed out with the help of Rob Spencer. Thanks Rob.
I am all for helping animals, but do we really need to save Mexico's dogs to. Don't we have enough dogs here in the U.S.? I guess you could argue that it does not matter, as long as we try. I just think we need to start local, then state wide, then nationally, then maybe the world.
Any way, it made me wonder about Mexican dogs and whether or not they can understand English. When they bark do they say "ladrido"?
Thanks for reading.

Wind Power - A Good Idea or Just Blowing Money Away?

I am thankful that a company like Vestas is moving forward with this technology. We (the U.S.) need to be the leaders in eco friendly energy. Next, lets solve our transportation needs. We need green cars that clean the environment as we use them, not ad to the destruction of it. If we can think it, we can achieve it. Just look at Vistas, they are helping the environment, the world, and the community by bringing in hundreds of jobs. Now if more companies would do the same.

Firearms In City Buildings

I will defend our right to carry fire arms. However, I do think there are places that guns should not be allowed. The obvious, schools, day cares, courthouses, heck even the DMV and Post office. City workers do have to deal with a lot of crazies as it is. Guns + crazies is not a good combination. I can see why they don't want firearms in their work place. In this case, I think it is a personal vendetta against one man who chooses to carry a gun to city council meeting. Let's not overreact. I just thought it would be funny to ask, what if Rambo were to attend a city council meeting. Would he be allowed in?

My daughter was a big influence on characters, names and gag ideas. Giving the Boot to RTD

So Mayor Bryan Baum thinks Longmont can do better with more control over Longmonts public transportation. First he should master city council meetings, then he can get behind the wheel of Longmont's transportation system.

Blinded By The Light...of Ticket Cameras

It could happen... right. I, for the most part am a pretty safe driver, I won't say I have not got any tickets, but I am a laid back type of driver. I don't like the idea of not being able to discuss your ticket or traffic violation with an officer before he/she gives it to you. The camera does not tell the whole story. Running a late yellow early red light could have prevented an accident in some situations. Even speeding can get you out of a jam some times. A live cop could understand the particular situation, where as a camera just shows the offense. I for one am not for the cameras. Thanks for reading.
