Could Anybody Understand What They Are Saying?

Last week I went to the Demolition Derby at the Boulder County Fair. For the past 3-4 years, it has become something I really look forward to. Cool older cars crashing, what's not to love? This year, as I am trying to figure out what's going on, a lady behind me asked me questions about the rules and such, or why 3 cars got into the arena, then drove out. We both struggled to understand the announcer, but could not. After that, I started paying close attention to what he was saying. I came away with...who knows? It might be time for an new system or even a tune up. Thanks for reading.

Longmont's Flour Mill to be demolished!

I know some people think the building is an eyesore. Not me, I think it has a lot of character. I wish they could have re-vamped it into a mall of some sort, or even better a paint ball complex. Running around a cool old building shooting paint balls at friends would be a blast.

Cash for Clunkers at the Demolition Derby?

I wonder if all the drivers in the demolition derby at the Boulder County Fair tried to trade in the cars for the cash for clunkers program. I mean they might as well have. Striping a car down and getting it prepared for the derby takes a lot of time and money. I can just see one of the beat up cars pulling into the dealership, smoking, wobbling and making a lot of noise. All of the sales peoples eyes wide open and mouths dropping to the floor.
