Call me kookey, but how can one man lead both the Police Department and the Fire Department. Will it really "save" tax payers money? What about the extra hours of miss communication between the divisions. Also, can the Fire Department trust that Butler has their best interests at heart. I am sure that he's a good man, but a discouraged department might not think so.

After reading the insert about the Longmont Humane Society's new Allen Center in the Times-Call Special section, I felt that it was the nicest place. What animal would not want to sit, stay, and spay at the new modern facility. I also thought animal control officers would be overwhelmed with eager animals trying to get into the building.

The idea for this cartoon came from a story by Scott Rochatt in the August 18, 2008 Times-Call.
So with the bad economy on my mind, and this very brave (or very stupid) cow standing up to a bear, I couldn't help but put the two together. I wonder though, do people really name their cows? To me cows are food, I don't know that I would want to name the cow that I plan on eating. Cows are pretty interesting though, I just read that cows have a built in compass and seem to naturally point north. Weird.

The idea for this cartoon came from a story by By Kathryn Dailey in the August 14, 2008 Loveland Reporter-Herald. Don't get me wrong, I am all for alternative means of transportation and fuel efficiency, but street legal golf carts seem pretty dangerous to me.

The idea for this cartoon came from a story by Pierrette J. Shields in the Thursday, August 14, 2008 Times-Call. What a weird thing to catch in Longmont. I am glad they caught the fish before it got any bigger. The thought of that fish nibbling on my toes give me the hee bee jee bees. Published in the August 19, 2008 Times-Call Thanks for reading!

The idea for this cartoon came from a story by Pierrette J. Shields in the Friday, August 01, 2008 Times-Call. I read this story and got this visual. "Ed" is actually Ed Scott from the story, one of those names that I think is kind of funny. Who am I kidding Sam is a pretty goofy name too, then there is SAW. Oh well.
