Vampires are So Vain!

So which is more absurd, a coffin with a mirror or a vampire looking to buy a coffin with a mirror? Any way... It cracked me up.

Amazing Fun!

A fun little maze. Based off of Kinetics in Longmont.

Can Harry Potter's Sorting Hat Figure Out What To Do With "Los Arcos De Longmont"?

OK, I am a shameless Harry Potter fan, and yes I saw the final film opening night at midnight. It's one of those few things the whole family loves. So of course I was looking for any way to do a Harry Potter Cartoon. Who knew the cartoon would get published? I'm glad it did. I hope your enjoy it. Thanks for reading.

Enough of the Fire Crackers!

I'll be honest, I love the illegal fire crackers, pop bottle rockets and who can say no to a good old fashioned cherry bomb. They are great fun for the 4th of July, but what drives me crazy is the days following the 4th. The poor dog is a nervous wreck and I have work in the morning.
Thanks for reading.

BTW: Thanks Al for not completely crinkling up and throwing away the original. :)

E. Coli At Union Reservoir!?

In the Times-Call, they stated that the levels of E.Coli were 4x higher than they should be. Well, I guess in 2 days time they came back down to acceptable levels. The cartoon won't be published. :(
I thought I would post it here.
Thanks for reading.

Downtown Boullder Cartoon Map

Here is my 1st major project at Prairie Mountain Media, AKA the Boulder Camera.
I had a crazy short deadline (about 2 weeks) This is what I managed to get done. I have a week left to make a animated web version. I will post it when it's complete.

Goose Poop Park

Sometimes a TC Line call really cracks me up. Goose Poop Park did just that.
In addition to the gag I added a somewhat subtle gag with the geese. The goose in the center is blowing a bubble in the mud, and the rest of the geese are taking notice. Gross and immature- yes, but funny. Thanks for reading and watch your step.

Boulder Blows Up Prairie Dogs?!

Thanks to Ernie Snyder & the Rodenator, Boulder prairie dogs are literally being blown up.
To me this seems like a cruel way to get rid of the little guys. Yes they are a problem and nuisance but there has to be a better way to get rid of them.
Thanks for reading.

Gas Prices...I am glad I don't have a Hummer.

OK who am I kidding, I really want one of those military grade Hummers. Those things are the ultimate 4x4. But filling up my Hyundai Santa Fe is bad enough. The idea for this cartoon came from my Editorial Page Editor, Rob Spencer. Thanks Rob!

Put On A Coat!

I remember coats being a pain. I remember my mom yelling at me to put on a coat. I think its very ironic that my daughter never wears a coat, mother natures way of laughing at me. Now as I am older, when it's cold out side, the only thing I can think about is wearing my coat. Strange.
Thanks for reading...And don't forget your coat!

Mystery Bird Deaths Explained!

This subject freaks me out a bit, so what do I do, make a cartoon of it of course. I talked to some bird lovers who know more than I do about birds, they thought that the birds are eating too many fermented berries. So basically they are drinking them selves to death. I don't know if I believe that, but it kinda makes sense. The other thing I thought about is this probably happens all the time, we just don't hear about it. Who knows, but to me it is still a bit creepy.

Recycle Your Christmas Tree!

Good for the environment, good for the community, bad for the tree. What can I say, wood chippers are just fun in a morbid sort of way. (Thank you Fargo)
