This is a little funny to me. When I was a kid, vacations meant long hot car trips. To Kansas, Mesa Verde, and countless others. I didn't have hand held video games or a dvd player. All I remember is being bored the whole time. My initial idea for the cartoon was for the boy to be complaining about the long hot car ride to the middle of nowhere, just to find out it the spot was not even the right spot. It would make me a little mad if I where a kid, OK who am I kidding, I would be upset if I did that crazy long drive today. But I was told to edited it and make it a "pro-paper" cartoon. To me the "parental units" thing is kind of funny.

I did this cartoon months ago. I am glad it finally got published. It's one of my favorites. My dad always does stuff like this, tells me a story about the past. Then I, with my short attention spand, tries to day dream what it was like and not be even close to how it was. Anyway, this ones for you dad.

On a serious note, I hope we aren't setting ourselves up for another dark age. We will be one EMP from loosing everything. From money, important documents, literature, movies, music to games. If we are depending on digital forms of all these things, it can all come to a halt very quickly. A EMP (Electronic Magnetic Pulse) wipes out electronics.

This cartoon didn't get published. I guess Vance Brand Municipal Airport does not have a tower.
Ooops! At least (as far as I know) I didn't miss-spell anything. Let me know if I did. My family is all over the place with prairie dogs. I have been invited on shoots by one side, my daughter thinks they are cute. (I got to admit, they are.) I even understand why horse people are not in favor of them. Folks from out east, think they are great, just because they don't have them. Maybe we should ship them out there.
